Our very own Dr Naomi Hlongwane presenting at the Expressive-10 Investigator Meeting

We recently attended the Expressive-10 Investigator Meeting, where key discussions focused on strategies to strengthen participant recruitment and retention across sites. The meeting was attended by key SRC staff, including our study PI, Dr Zinhle Zwane.

During the meeting, Dr Naomi Hlongwane (SRC Director of Research Development) conducted a presentation focused on our site’s experience, and highlighting our approach to community mapping and identifying women who would most benefit from participation. The presentation emphasised practical lessons on reaching priority populations and adapting engagement strategies in contexts with high research exposure. The discussions provided valuable insights and opportunities for shared learning across sites, which will further inform and strengthen our ongoing recruitment and retention efforts.
