Setshaba Research Centre is a community-centered organization that focuses on HIV research and continues to contribute to finding a way to prevent the further spread of HIV. SRC actively supports HIV prevention through community education initiatives which include information on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), education about the transmission of the disease, the use of contraceptives (condoms), counseling, and referral for treatment where required.

On Tuesday, 30 November 2021, Setshaba Research Centre commemorated World Aids Day at Refentse community center in Stinkwater, Pretoria. The commemoration’s objective was to raise awareness on the access and use of HIV/AIDS antiretroviral treatment and other commodities that can help fight HIV/AIDS.
